Hannah Trahan

Owner and Lead Planner

In my home office reads a piece of art that says, “She designed a life she loved”… and this could not be truer! Early on, I figured out two things I wanted to become; one was a mother and the other was a wedding planner. I married my high school sweetheart 10 years ago, and we now have three precious babies whom I absolutely adore! I planned my first wedding in 2002, and I have planned/executed over 600 weddings since then. I love meeting new couples and ensuring the day is enjoyed with the ones you love.

As the Owner and Lead Planner behind every Southern Couture Event, my passion is to design, plan and direct flawless events that reflect the style of the client. I firmly believe if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life!

Favorite Things: Time with my family, a quiet bubble bath, Dr. Pepper and visiting new places!

Favorite Design Element: Beautiful flowers and creating the unexpected.

Favorite Wedding Moment: The moment between a Bride and her Father right before the church doors open.

Hannah graduated from the University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Business knowing that she would one day own her own wedding planning business. She earned certifications as a Certified Wedding Specialist through Beverly Clark Enterprises, became a Professional Bridal Consultant through the Association of Bridal Consultants and is a Certified Sandals Honeymoon and Wedding Specialist.

In college, she worked for The Family Church as the wedding coordinator, giving her the knowledge and experience needed to coordinate and handle ceremonies and all of the details involved. After graduation, she began working for local event venues, spending three years as the Events Manager at Townhouse Restaurant and Caterer before moving to City Club at River Ranch as the Private Events Director. She spent six years with City Club where she worked with a range of social to corporate events including Mardi Gras, Corporate Christmas parties, Grand Openings and all types of Wedding Related Events. In 2014, she fulfilled her long-time goal and opened Southern Couture Weddings, and in 2019, she added full-service travel as part of Southern Couture.

Tandi Begnaud

Wedding Day Director

Event planning is perfect for my direct, yet fun loving personality. With over fifteen years of experience planning private and corporate events, I am passionate about creating a beautiful and unique experience with you in mind. With a background in Creative Arts, I believe every event should be unique and specific to your personality. No matter the size, I approach each event with precise attention to detail, action-oriented coordination and creativity. I believe these qualities are the magic behind a successful event.

I’m married to my best friend, Rudy, and we have three children, who love life and believe every day is a party! In our house we are real, we create, we make mistakes, we have fun, we say I'm sorry, we are really loud, we love deeply, and we make memories!

I am grateful that I get to create and execute incredible experiences that will become special memories.

Favorite things: my family, the beach, my church, sports, sweet iced tea, a good book, flower beds, and red velvet cake.

Favorite Design Element: I love beautiful flowers and the perfect color combination, but my favorite design element is the one that makes yours unique and specific to your special day.

Favorite Wedding Tradition: Giving of the Bride; the honor of giving the Bride to her Groom is meaningful and always a special moment in the ceremony.

Dominique Caskey

Wedding Day Director & Marketing Manager

Design, planning and execution of even the smallest details are part of my everyday life; in fact, I often call it my love language. Thanks to that, event planning has become not only a passion but a joy. And it hasn’t diminished after 8 years of working with wonderful clients in making their events come to life! I have played many roles with Southern Couture and while I am now a little further away thanks to a move to Houston, I love every opportunity I get to work with our brides, grooms and their families on their wedding day.

Favorite Things: my Simplified Planner, two pups, Marlee + Milo, the beach and a good merlot

Favorite Design Element: Lighting, whether it be soft candlelight, chandeliers or twinkling string lights

Favorite Wedding Tradition: the Bride’s dance with her father, although, the first look is becoming more and more loved, it’s a close second!

Dominique graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She worked as the Private Events Coordinator for City Club at River Ranch for four years before joining the Southern Couture team.

Bailey Thompson

Office/Social Media Manager

I am blessed to be able to work alongside amazing wedding professionals by helping with the behind the scenes tasks. I love to see everyone’s hard work pay off when I see the gorgeous photos from the wedding day and hear the testimonies from the couples.

Favorite Things: friends and family, beach vacations, football season, and ice cream

Favorite Wedding Tradition: The first look between the bride and her father. It is such a sweet moment when a father sees his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. Since I am one of three girls, I’m excited for this moment with my dad one day.

Bailey graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She was the Head of Hospitality at a resort lodge in Northern California before moving back home and starting her own business as a virtual assistant to creative entrepreneurs.
